Competition among central Appalachian hardwood forest products has
been increasing within the last decade, forcing production facility closures and
an increase in lower grade hardwood production. As a result of these pressures,
the forest industry is in need of improved forest products markets and marketing
techniques in order to promote their products on an international scale. China
has emerged as one of the most important overseas markets for central
Appalachian hardwood products.
This web page is developed for the purpose of improving knowledge of the Chinese
market for U.S. central Appalachian hardwoods producers, and developing better
linkage between the U.S. producers and Chinese customers. |
